TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Your Muslim Copywriter, including copywriting, editing, content development, email marketing, website and landing-page services, Content-to-Book Manuscript Development, Book Publishing Services and related add-on services.
The specific scope, deliverables, pricing and timeline for each project will be outlined in the client’s approved quote, project summary or selected package.
1. Project Scope
Services are limited to the deliverables and scope agreed upon before work begins.
Any additional services, substantial changes in direction, or work requested outside the agreed scope may require an additional fee and/or revised timeline. Additional charges will be discussed before the work is undertaken.
2. Project Acceptance & Content Standards
Your Muslim Copywriter is a faith-based business and accepts projects that align with Islamic values and the ethical standards of the business.
All projects are subject to review before acceptance. Your Muslim Copywriter reserves the right to decline a project based on its subject matter, content or overall nature.
If previously undisclosed material that conflicts with these standards is discovered after work has begun, Your Muslim Copywriter reserves the right to discontinue the project. Any applicable refund or outstanding payment will be determined according to work already completed.
3. Payment
For projects under $1,000 USD, full payment is required before work begins.
For projects over $1,000 USD, a 50% deposit is required to schedule the project and secure the agreed delivery timeframe. The outstanding balance is due upon submission of the draft, and final work will only be released once payment has been received in full.
Consultations and other smaller services may also require full payment in advance.
Payment of the required project fee or deposit confirms that the client has reviewed and accepted the agreed scope, deliverables, pricing and these Terms & Conditions.
4. Client Materials & Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing all content, information, files, images, branding, account access and other materials reasonably required to complete the project.
The client is responsible for the accuracy of supplied information and for ensuring they have permission to use any copyrighted or third-party material supplied for the project.
Delays in providing required materials, information, feedback or approvals may extend the project timeline.
5. Timeframes
For standard copywriting projects, the initial draft will generally be delivered within 10 business days after receipt of the completed client questionnaire and all required information, unless otherwise agreed.
Finalized copy will generally be delivered within 3–5 business days after receiving the client’s amendments and, where applicable, final payment.
Book Publishing, Content-to-Book, website and other larger projects may require different timelines. The estimated timeframe will be provided in the client’s project summary or quote.
Project timelines pause while awaiting client materials, feedback or approvals. Third-party processing and approval times are outside the control of Your Muslim Copywriter.
6. Revisions & Completion
Unless otherwise stated in the selected service, package or quote, standard copywriting projects include two rounds of revisions: one following the initial draft and one following amendments.
Other services and packages may have different revision allowances, which will be stated in the agreed scope.
A revision means reasonable changes within the original agreed direction and scope. Major rewrites, new content, restructuring, redesigns or changes in direction may be quoted separately.
Once work is delivered and identified as FINAL, the agreed service is considered completed.
7. Copywriting, Editing & Content Services
Copywriting and content services are created according to the agreed brief, audience, objectives and information provided by the client.
Proofreading generally covers spelling, grammar, punctuation, obvious typographical errors and basic consistency unless another level of editing has been purchased.
Unless specifically included, services do not include extensive fact-checking, source verification, legal review, academic research or verification of Arabic or Qur’anic text.
The client remains responsible for the factual accuracy and final use of their content.
8. Content-to-Book Manuscript Development
Content-to-Book involves organizing, editing and adapting the client’s existing content into a structured manuscript.
Depending on the agreed scope, this may include content review and selection, organization into themes and chapters, preliminary table of contents, editing for flow and readability, basic transitions, identification of content gaps and compilation into a Word manuscript.
Content-to-Book does not include extensive research, interviews, substantial ghostwriting, fact-checking or the creation of entire missing chapters unless separately agreed.
Content-to-Book is a manuscript development service only. Publication-level proofreading, typesetting, cover design, eBook formatting, Amazon KDP setup/upload, promotional materials and website creation are separate services unless specifically included in the agreed project.
9. Book Publishing Services
Book Publishing services may include proofreading, typesetting/interior layout, cover design, eBook formatting, Amazon KDP assistance, promotional assets and author-platform services depending on the package purchased.
Package pricing is based on the scope stated on the service page or client quote. Longer manuscripts and books containing extensive Arabic text, footnotes, tables, illustrations or complex formatting may require a custom quote.
The specific deliverables and revision allowances of the selected package will be confirmed before work begins.
10. Cover Design
The level of cover design provided depends on the package or individual service purchased.
Basic, Enhanced and Premium Cover Design may differ in strategy, visual direction and included revisions.
Custom artwork, original illustration or specialist graphic design is not included unless specifically stated and may be quoted separately.
11. Amazon KDP & Third-Party Platforms
Where Amazon KDP assistance is included, the client’s publishing account remains under the client’s ownership and control.
The client is responsible for managing any identity, banking, tax and payment information required by Amazon or other platforms.
Your Muslim Copywriter may assist with setup, preparation and submission where included, but cannot guarantee third-party approval, processing or publication timelines.
12. Website, Landing Page & Funnel Services
Website services are currently built using Hostinger’s website builder, unless another platform is specifically agreed upon before work begins.
The client is responsible for purchasing and maintaining hosting, domain registration, business email and any required third-party subscriptions, applications, integrations or payment-processing services.
These costs are separate from Your Muslim Copywriter’s service fees unless specifically stated otherwise.
The client retains ownership and responsibility for their website, domain and associated accounts.
13. Email Marketing & Promotional Services
Email marketing services may include email copywriting, newsletter signup setup, welcome sequences, lead-magnet sequences and other agreed automations.
Promotional services may include social media graphics, captions, book mockups and launch materials according to the agreed scope.
Unless specifically included, these services do not include ongoing social media management, paid advertising, public relations, influencer outreach or ongoing marketing management.
Clients are responsible for any required email marketing or third-party platform subscriptions.
14. Third-Party Costs & Services
Unless specifically included in the quote, the client is responsible for third-party expenses such as hosting, domains, business email, paid images, premium software, plugins, platform subscriptions, payment-processing fees, printing and custom artwork.
Your Muslim Copywriter is not responsible for outages, policy changes, account restrictions, approval decisions or technical issues caused by third-party providers.
15. Ownership & Rights
The client retains ownership of any original materials supplied for the project.
Upon full payment, the client receives ownership and rights to the completed work created specifically for their project, subject to any applicable third-party licences or materials.
Final work will not be released until all outstanding project fees have been paid.
16. Cancellation & Refunds
Payments compensate Your Muslim Copywriter for reserved project time and work undertaken.
If a project is cancelled before work begins, any refund will be subject to a $50 USD booking and administrative fee.
Once work has begun, payment for work already completed and time reserved is non-refundable.
For projects paid in full upfront, if a client cancels after work has begun but before completion, any applicable refund will be calculated based on the work already completed.
If work completed exceeds the amount already paid, any outstanding amount for completed work will remain payable.
If Your Muslim Copywriter must cancel a project, the client will be refunded for any paid services that have not been completed.
17. Additional & Out-of-Scope Work
Services, revisions or deliverables outside the original agreed scope may be quoted separately.
The client will be informed before additional billable work is undertaken.
18. Acceptance of Terms
By approving the project and making the required payment or deposit, the client confirms acceptance of:
- The approved quote, package or project summary
- The agreed scope and deliverables
- The agreed pricing and timeframe
- These Terms & Conditions
Payment serves as confirmation to proceed under these terms.
Please note: These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of services by Your Muslim Copywriter and are not intended to replace legal advice.
