Social media is a very valuable tool, if used correctly, it can leverage your business through engagement and make an unknown name into a very famous, well-known name. Okay, even it’s not about getting popular, you definitely have the entire world you can reach out to and start showcasing who you are, what you do, and more importantly how you can change the lives of the people you serve!

If you want to harness the power of social media, you have to be more conscious of what you’re doing with it. It keeps changing but consistency is key to making it work for your brand. I’ve seen someone with only one product (their published book) go from no followers to having over a million views on their short 20 second reel. It’s possible, you just had to work at it (like anything in life).

Don’t just throw anything out there, be intentional about what you say and how you say. Also, engagement is key to the algorithm so don’t ignore people who comment and also don’t leave people hanging when they message you. If people are taking the time to come to you, make sure you reciprocate properly.

Keep in mind, social media is an opportunity FOR YOU to display your personality, this is how connection is formed. This is where AI can’t seem to get right. The typos are welcomed these days, and the em dash (—) makes people feel like it’s AI.

Don’t be a robot.

Be human, talk to people, help people, encourage them, say something that can benefit them etc.

Lastly, please don’t keep selling to them- social media should be 80% benefit to the people (value based), and 20% about your products or services.
